International Shipping Policy (DDU – Delivered Duty Unpaid)
At The Second Serve, we are pleased to offer international shipping to a wide range of countries. All international orders are shipped on a DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) basis. Please take note of the following important details regarding taxes, duties, and fees:
1. Shipping Costs
The shipping cost displayed at checkout covers the transportation of your order from our warehouse to the destination country. However, it does not include any import taxes, duties, or customs clearance fees that may be levied by your local government upon the arrival of your package.
2. Taxes and Duties
Depending on your country’s import regulations, your order may be subject to additional taxes, duties, or fees upon arrival. These charges are not included in your purchase total and will need to be paid by you, the recipient, directly to the customs authorities or shipping carrier at the time of delivery.
— Customs Duties: Vary based on the country’s regulations and the value of your order.
— VAT or Sales Tax: May be charged based on the applicable tax rates in your country.
3. Responsibility for Duties and Taxes
As the recipient, you are responsible for paying all applicable import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are not controlled or collected by The Second Serve.
4. Delivery and Customs Clearance
Your package may be delayed by customs clearance procedures in your country. The Second Serve is not responsible for delays due to customs processing. We recommend checking with your local customs office for more information on import taxes and customs clearance procedures in your country.
5. Refusal of Delivery
If you choose to refuse delivery due to unexpected import duties, taxes, or fees, the package may be returned to us. In such cases, a refund for the product may be issued, less any return shipping costs and handling fees. However, shipping costs originally paid are non-refundable.
6. Contacting Local Authorities
We strongly advise you to familiarize yourself with your country’s import policies and duties before placing an international order. Contact your local customs office for specific information regarding customs fees, duties, and taxes applicable to your purchase.
